Blowin’ with the wind
When you are drying your hair, always blow ‘with the grain’. Basically, always have the air blowing in the same direction that your hair grows.
By blowing with the grain, your hair cuticles (the outer layer of your hair shaft) will close up. Closed-up cuticles reflect the light better and give you shiny-looking hair.
If you blow against the grain, the cuticles won’t close as smoothly, causing frizzy, fuzzy hair that is more likely to absorb the light.
